Consulting and Training Center KEY is an organization founded in 2008, dedicated to enriching the lives of our clients by offering high quality knowledge, especially in the fields of food quality and safety, health and nutrition and hygienic engineering and design. During our 10 year existence, we have specialized in four main areas of expertise: publishing, event management, training and international cooperation.

    NUTRICON 2019
    NUTRICON 2019 was an international congress held in Ohrid, Macedonia, from the 12th to the 14th of June, 2019. More than 200 participants were present at this 6th edition of NUTRICON, from 32 countries worldwide, with 34 presentations and 54 posters presented, as well as 80 full papers published in JHED.

    NUTRICON 2018
    NUTRICON 2018 was an international congress held in Ohrid, Macedonia, from the 13th to the 15th of June, 2018. More than 200 participants were present at this 5th jubilee edition of NUTRICON, from 35 countries worldwide, with 29 presentations and 50 posters presented, as well as 74 full papers published in JHED.

    Publications
    Taking a look after our 10 year existence, KEY has produced a number of various food quality and safety literature, ranging from Guidelines, Brochures and Glossaries, with Prof. Dr Vladimir Kakurinov as it's main author.

    NUTRICON 2017
    NUTRICON 2017 was an international congress, held in Skopje, Macedonia, from from the 5th to the 7th of October, 2017, evolving from a conference to a congress due to its predecessors rise and popularity. It gathered over 170 participants worldwide, with 18 presentations and 52 posters presented at the conference, as well as 61 full papers published in JHED.

    NUTRICON 2016
    NUTRICON 2016 was an international conference, held in Skopje, Macedonia, from the 1st to the 2nd of December, 2016. This was the 3rd conference of the same name and it gathered over 160 participants worldwide, with 16 presentations and 22 posters presented at the conference, as well as 20 full papers published in JHED.

    1st Black Sea Association of Food science and Technology – B-FoST
    1st Black Sea Association of Food science and Technology – B-FoST, took place in Ohrid, Macedonia, from the 22d to the 24th of September, 2016. The congress gathered more than 200 participants from 36 countries worldwide, with 41 presentations, 43 posters and 51 full papers submitted.

    NUTRICON 2015
    NUTRICON 2015 was an international conference, held in Skopje, Macedonia, from 19th to 20th of November, 2015. Building on the success of the previous conference of the same name, NUTRICON 2015 gathered 150 participants worldwide, with 16 presentations and 35 posters presented at the conference, as well as 38 full papers published in JHED.

    Hygienic Design Festival 2015
    The Hygienic Design Festival was an international conference held in Ohrid, Macedonia, from the 27th to 29th of May, 2015. There were more than 100 participants worldwide, from 14 different countries, with 21 presentations and 21 posters presented at the conference.

    NUTRICON 2014 was an international conference, the first of its kind, held in Skopje, Macedonia, from the 27th to 28th of November, 2014.     7th Central European Congress on Food (CEFood)
    The 7th Central European Congress on Food (CEFood) took place in Ohrid, Macedonia, from the 21st to 24th of May, 2014. There were over 300 participants from 38 countries worldwide who exchanged their experience, new developments and innovations in the main theme of this event – Food Chain Integration.

    Conference on Food Quality and Safety and Hygienic Engineering and Design 2013 – Macedonia
    The Conference in Food Quality & Safety and Hygienic Engineering & Design took place in Skopje, Macedonia, from the 19th to 20th of September, 2013. The Conference was attended by more than 150 people from all over the world, with 42 practically oriented scientific papers presented.

    Memorandum for Cooperation
    On the 11th of December, 2012, Consulting and Training Center KEY signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Network of Rural Development of Macedonia, paving the way for a strong and fruitful collaboration.

    Conference on Food Quality and Safety
    On the 8-9th of October, 2012, Consulting and Training Center KEY, in cooperation with the USAID project AgBiz, organized a Conference on Food Quality and Safety.

    Journal of Hygienic Engineering and Design – JHED
    In September, 2011, the Journal of Hygienic Engineering and Design was founded by Consulting and Training Center KEY, following the overwhelming success of the first World Congress of EHEDG. This electronic based journal became a free-access journal in 2012, with more than 35.000 officially registered readers, more than 240 papers published, as well as being indexed in numerous databases, most notably – SCOPUS, FSTA, TIB, CAB, CABI etc.

    World Congress of EHEDG for Hygienic Engineering and Design 2011 – Macedonia
    The 1st World Congress on Hygienic Engineering and Design took place from the 21st to the 25th of September, 2011, in Ohrid, Macedonia. This event was a Summit for Hygienic Design expertise, where over 230 participants from 31 countries worldwide exchanged their experiences, new developments and innovations in this area, with were 42 presentations in two parallel sessions: 1) Hygienic Design 2) Food Quality & Safety and Food Production & Processing.

    EHEDG Basic and Advanced Training
    As of September, 2010, Consulting and Training Center KEY’s Prof. Dr Vladimir Kakurinov became a licensed EHEDG Trainer, both in Basic and Advanced Courses on Hygienic Design, training numerous individuals aiming to receive an EHEDG Certification, as well as introducing these training's on the NUTRICON congress from 2017 onwards.

    The first EHEDG Macedonian Regional Section Informative Meeting
    On April 29th, 2010, Consulting and Training Center KEY, in cooperation with the Macedonian Economic Chamber, organized the first ever EHEDG Macedonian Regional Section Informative meeting. Up to date, KEY has organized more than 60 events (info days, workshops, seminars, round tables) promoting EHEDG goals, values and objectives, as well as the benefits from becoming a member.

    Opening Ceremony of the Macedonian Regional Section of EHEDG
    On the 15th October, 2009, the opening ceremony of the Macedonian Regional Section of EHEDG was held at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Food in Skopje, Macedonia. This marked the beginning of a long and fruitful cooperation between the European Hygienic Engineering Design Group (EHEDG), one of the most influential European networks in the food safety area, and Consulting and Training Center KEY as its representative.

    HACCP Training
    In 2009, KEY collaborated with the Ministry of labor and social policy in 6 towns in Macedonia, implementing a HACCP plan, practiced by kindergarten staff and ministry representatives. During the years, KEY has been involved in numerous projects concerning HACCP implementation and is responsible for the training of more than 1500 people.

    Beginnings
    In September 2008, Consulting and Training Center KEY opend the doors to the public. We started off as an organization primarily focusing on food quality and safety, health and nutrition and specializing in HACCP implementation.
